General Position Summary/Purpose:
The Statistical Programming department seeks an exceptionally talented and
motivated R Programmer/Data Visualization programmer with experience in
developing interactive web-based data driven applications deployed through
the RStudio Shiny Linux server.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
• Participate and provide leadership in the application design and
development activities focused on clinical data analysis.
• Produce and develop software in an agile environment, using
modern techniques and processes.
• Work with customer subject matter experts, application developers
, biostatisticians to understand customer and project needs for analysis and
reporting.
• Programmer will serve as the primary contact point for all
programmer questions and communication with the Statisticians, develop
internal programming timelines, ensure the quality of deliverables and
ensure the adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Ensure adherence to quality control procedures for statistical
programming activities.
• Participate in internal study team and client meetings.
• Work proactively to predict and minimize potential issues before
they arise, and resolve those that do in a timely manner.
• Create/maintenance tools to improve programming efficiency or
quality for team members.
Qualifications:
• Experience in using R for statistical computing, data analysis,
and graphical visualization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and execute sophisticated and
thorough analyses, and translate those results to easily digestible insights
, presentations, and actions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability
to work in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary environment.
• Has basic understanding data collection and database concepts
including data flows in clinical trials Basic knowledge of FDA/ICH
guidelines and Pharma industry data standards, such as CDISC/SDTM, ADaM data
models.
Experience:
• At least 3 years experience in R programming with and use of CRAN
or Bioconductor librariesy.
• Develop data and analysis apps and web services using R and Shiny
.
• Experience with rCharts, ggplot2, reshape2, dplyr and R Markdown
packages is a plus.
• Experience with d3js for creating tables and graph.
• Programming experience with SAS and SQL is a plus.
• At least 1 years experience in clinical research preferably with
emphasis in the development and support of the analysis of clinical trial
data.
• Familiar with relevant operating systems, e.g. UNIX, Linux.
• Excellent knowledge of following technologies: JavaScript, CSS,
Web application technologies.
Education Requirements (degree, certifications, etc.): Include must have and
preferred
• BS in computer science, statistics, math or other relevant
