An immediate Senior EE opening.
To manage and participate in the design, test, and support of electrical,
electronic, components and control sub systems for complex vacuum equipment
used in data storage and optical coating industries.
Responsibilities:
* Program management of controls and electronics subsystems for the
product line
* System Engineering Management of EE and Controls system for Ion Beam
Deposition Systems
* Work with product line manager to define CIP and technology roadmaps
for controls
* Implement customer upgrades and customization as required
* Make decision on off-the-shelf versus custom controls solutions
strategy
* Manage outsourced engineering development
* Manage contract manufacturers
* Manage regulatory certification activities such as CE, UL testing and
compliance
* Interact with field support on controls related issues
* Prepare program status on a regular basis and report to the director
of engineering
* Responsible for troubleshooting and debugging in collaboration with
design engineering team
Qualifications
• Project, program management experience required
• Experience with: PCB design and layout, FPGA, ASIC, Firmware,
CPLD, and/or other programmable logic design required
• Must be able to write/review specifications with engineering and
manufacturing teams
• Must be able to troubleshoot complex electronics control systems
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Familiar with Analog and Digital circuit design and testing
• Familiar with RF power a plus
• Knowledge of wide range of electrical components is required
• Experience with motion control systems a plus
• Experience with compliance CE, UL testing a plus
• Experience with vacuum capital equipment a plus
