Seeking Senior Electrical Engineer who excels in Motor control, Analog /
Digital Design, and Board Layout. Applicant will be part of an elite team
capable of developing a variety of leading edge semiconductor
instrumentation.
SUMMARY: Responsible for the electrical aspects of design, development and
manufacturing by performing the following duties. DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: 1. Key
contributor in the development of new products, block level design,
schematics capture, layout of printed circuit boards and testing designs.* 2
. Maintains the engineering office by creating files of projects and manual
drawings for products on a regular basis.* 3. Supervises electrical
production to ensure work is performed in an accurate manner.* 4. Monitors
and supervises product tests regularly.* 5. Provides technical support as
needed.* 6. Maintains contact with suppliers via telephone and in person and
evaluates their proposals.* 7. Evaluates reports of electrical malfunction
and initiates corrective action as needed.* 8. Answers customer inquires
regarding application of products.
Individual should be experienced in an aggressive design environment
identifying the high risk elements in a design, architect the minimum viable
prototype to qualify those risks, understand all performance tradeoffs and
grasps the interdisciplinary advantages.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able
to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and one to
two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience. Training in electrical engineering related field
is required. LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read and interpret documents such
as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure
manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to
speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATH ABILITY: Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced
calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work
with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations,
and proofs of theorems. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply principles of
logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical
problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific
equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.
Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. SPECIAL
SKILLS: * Experience designing for High Frequency circuits as well as high
impedance and low noise. * Should be comfortable with microprocessor
integration and motor control. * Excels in Board layout using Orcad and
other layout software. * Can qualify design choices using P-Spice or other
circuit modeling software. * Comfortable with FPGA Programming and Diamond
Lattice is a plus. * Can generate schematic and work instruction
documentation for assembly and release to production. COMPUTER SKILLS: To
perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word
processing software; spreadsheet software; inventory software; development
software; design software; internet software and manufacturing software.
EQUIPMENT: Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Signal Analyzers, Other
Scopes. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described
