Summary:
NetSuite is searching for a Senior UI Framework Developer to join a team of
talented and passionate software engineers to build the next generation,
fast and interactive cloud-based business application that incorporates the
best user experience patterns and cutting edge technologies. We want you to
embrace and drive change; to help us architect from ground-up a scalable,
modular, and fast application stack that enables a dynamic, event-driven
client implemented with the latest technologies. The UI framework we develop
is used by other vertical teams to create new pages.
Responsibilities:
You will have the chance to explore both server and client side frameworks
and technologies, and do rapid prototyping to evaluate them.
You will design and build UI architecture, components, and customization for
an extensive, highly interactive cloud-based business application.
You will mentor and work alongside motivated, supportive, and talented
people in a collaborative, Scrum environment.
You will work closely with user experience designers, product management,
and QA to define and implement a next generation UI framework while ensuring
continued functionality of the existing system.
Ownership is a key aspect of our success; developers are expected to drive
the technology they are responsible for and in return, are given much
autonomy.
You must have an intimate, working understanding of modern web applications
and MVC concepts. You must have experience with large scale database driven
applications.
You are an excellent and open communicator in both technical and non-
technical contexts.
You have a record of working to deadlines in a rapid development cycle and
prioritizing competing demands.
Pride in your work and a desire to delight the customer should motivate you
to take initiative, take responsibility and take ownership of your projects.
Requirements:
B.S. in computer engineering or equivalent
6+ years software development experience
5+ developing large web-based applications
Experience training and mentoring software engineers
Expert in Internet technologies (HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, Ajax)
Experience with Java or C++
SQL database experience
*uperior communication skills
Experience with Javascript UI frameworks such as jQuery and Backbone
Emerging Web standards, such as HTML5
Agile programming methodology, including SCRUM | t*******g
