Job Summary
The iPod/iPhone Division is seeking enthusiastic electrical engineer for the
iPod/iPhone Engineering Team. This is a design engineering position that
entails working with cross-functional groups to continually push the
envelope of technology implemented in iPod/iPhone products.
Key Qualifications
▪ The ideal candidate is someone from a consumer electronics
background who has designed high volume, low power, high quality products.
▪ 5 + years overall experience needed
▪ Must have great EE fundamentals
▪ Must have hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging
, functional verification and manufacturing support
▪ Must have experience designing high volume products from
beginning to end and dealing with contract manufacturers
▪ Broad experience in small embedded systems, especially 8-bit and
16-bit micro-controllers
▪ Experience in the following areas is important: system
integration, processor selection, various communication protocols (
especially USB, SPI, I2C and UART), analog integration, audio design and
measurement, sensor design and integration & low power design
▪ Experience in the following areas is desirable: Bluetooth product
design, video electronics design and measurement.
▪ Tools: Cadence Concept & Allegro
▪ Position will require some international travel.

Job Summary
Apple is currently seeking exceptional Hardware Design Engineers to join a
fast paced design team and participate in the development of Apple's next
generation mobile and handheld products.
Key Qualifications
▪ BS/MS EE or equivalent with minimum of 5 years of experience in
the design and development of high speed digital and/or analog boards and
systems.
▪ Must have a solid understanding of the system development process
including concept creation, schematics and board development, as well as
board and system bring up and debugging.
▪ Must have direct experience with one or more of the following
technologies: high speed bus design, low power design, industry standard
protocols (audio and video, USB, wireless, memory bus, etc.) and their
design issues.
▪ Software and scripting experience a plus.
▪ Must have excellent communication skills.
Description
Design and development of mobile handheld devices from concept to mass
production.
Driving resolution of cross-functional issues including those related to
architecture (performance, power consumption, thermal behavior), production
(quality, failure analysis, manufacturing), and development (schematic
design, PCB layout, and overall system integration). International travel
may be required.
