support one of our government projects.

The ideal candidate thrives in a team atmosphere, takes pride in his/her

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Auditing, compliance, technical evaluation, threat identification,
and contingency/continuity planning.
• Developing and managing Information Systems security, including
disaster recovery, database protection and software development.
• Analyzes Information Security systems and applications, and
recommends and develops security measures to protect information against
unauthorized modification or loss
Required Qualifications:
• Currently possess one or more of the following certifications, CISSP
, CISA, CEH, CAP, SSCP and/or GSNA
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field as well as 6 to 10 years of
related experience.
• Expert knowledge and experience with networking, managing
connections, client server maintenance, and managing accounts access to
systems and equipment
• Knowledge of Federal Information Technology security mandates,
security policies, implementation standards, and a comprehensive
understanding of NIST guidance.
• Ability to apply IT security concepts, methodologies, principles,
and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.
• Self motivated and customer oriented
The candidate: Installs and maintains complex networks that typically link
numerous computing platforms, operating systems, and network topologies
across widely dispersed geographic areas. Evaluates hardware and software
suitable for large, complex networks. Tests and implements interface
programs. Develops security procedures. Manages network performance.
Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to ensure minimal disruption of
mission-critical applications. Maintains fault-tolerant systems and manages
systems backups. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices,
and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish
goals.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of
others. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. A wide degree of
creativity and latitude is expected. BS/BA degree in a related area (or
equivalent), and approximately 6 to 8 years of experience in the field or in
a related area. Typically requires certification as a network engineer and
may require extensive expertise across hardware and systems supplies by
multiple vendors |
