发帖数: 25 | 1 The Windows Phone Software Development Engineer will primarily be involved
in the design, implementation and launch of Windows Phone software on
Samsung devices. The software can range from system low-level modules such
as drivers, media pipeline, Radio Interface Layer (RIL), cellcore, to
various system services and applications levering WP8 API.
The developer will work closely with internal R&D engineers and Samsung
partners such as Microsoft and Qualcomm to deliver quality software product.
The developer is expected to work hard during production/launch time frames
to ensure that handset launches are not delayed.
Job Duties
‣ Design, implement and test one or more Windows Phone system
modules and services - using state of the art Windows Phone OEM tools and
API
‣ Work closely with partners and colleagues to identify,
troubleshoot, and fix issues
‣ Travel to customer or partner sites to facilitate smooth
exchange of information, joint development, triage, or integration
activities
‣ Travel to Korea when needed for design, implementation or
integration activities with hardware and firmware teams (approximately 3-4
times a year - each trip lasting about 2 weeks).
Qualifications
‣ Must have solid WP8 system level development and debugging at
OS level using windbg, Windows Phone Adaptation Kit and Windows Driver Kit.
Current experience with WP8 OS development preferred. Familiar with
application development on WP8.
‣ Fluent in C/C++ and C# programming - especially in a mobile or
embedded environment. Expertise with object-oriented design and development
mandatory; knowledge of common “design patterns” is required.
‣ Knowledge of Windows Phone core system services - such as
kernel, RIL, networking, and media core strongly desired.
‣ Expertise in fundamentals of computer science - data
structures, algorithms, multi-threaded programming, networking concepts is
mandatory.
‣ Self-starter - with ability to independently acquire the
knowledge required to succeed in their job.
‣ Minimally Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required;
MS CS preferred.
