As an software Support Engineer, you will have a wide range of
responsibilities focused on providing technical
support for company Application suite. You will be part of a team of
professionals that play a key role in
supporting and troubleshooting solutions.
Responsibilities:
* Provide application support of Application suite
* Work closely with clients and support organization to investigate and
troubleshoot tickets in client environments
* Work closely with Application Product Development team on resolutions
to issues
* Learn company Application product set and understand the capabilities
and limitations of the product suite
* Stay up to date on new features and functionality of Application
product suite releases and how best to support
* Follow Company GSC Incident, Service Request and client Change Control
policies by documenting work completed
Desired Skills and Experience:
* 3+ years supporting application products
* 3+ years programming experience with Java-based technologies (Java,
J2EE, JavaScript, Java Beans, JDBC, Hibernate, Spring)
* Experience with AJAX and BASH
* Experience with client-based enterprise implementations and n-tier web
application architecture and failover / redundancy concepts
* Experience with Web services integration
* Experience with application servers: JBoss (preferable), Tomcat, IBM
WebSphere, Oracle
* Experience in Relational databases, database stored procedures, and
development (PL/SQL) and SQL Server, Oracle, and Informix
* Understanding of basic database concepts: basic syntax, constraints,
normalization, indexes, and triggers.
* 3+ years programming experience with .NET C#
* Experience with Cisco’s .NET or JAVA CIL a plus
* Familiarity with CTI Server, CTI OS Server, and ICM Configuration/
scripting a plus
* Understanding of GWT/GXT (and MVP pattern), HTML, CSS, XML
* Experience with Linux environments (Red Hat/Fedora, Ubuntu, etc) and
Windows environments.
* Experience working with applications destined for a call center
environment a plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Self-motivated, detail oriented, client oriented
