excel - 要会写 micro的。
类似一天到晚要跟大老板management那些报告的？
如果是那种communication skills 普通， 不是很圆滑的那种
人，做这种工作是不是不合适？

database and display it in a readable form.
In Excel, they have the functionality of writing Macro- You can write mini
program that can record data records in excel stuff like that.
Excel我只懂的最简单的，就是写简单的create spread sheets- 简单的用pivot
tables, macro不太懂。

来了。来了以后基本上就是在用excel，感觉就是打杂的。有的时候会写点macro，但是
不是要求必须写的，因为我的主管都不会写。去salary.com就知道平均工资有多少。 |

Database Analyst is one of the best job you should looking for.
Not need a formal CS degree. Any kind of degree will be OK.
Specially for a MBA, this job is perfect.
Database Analyst is listed as one of the high pay job in 2012 by US News.
The salary range is between $50k to $120k.
There are so many Database Analyst jobs open in many USA large/small
companies, like: 学校,银行,保险,通讯,运输,医院,政府,食品,法律,房地产,高科技,
等等, 决不局限在那少之又少的软件公司.
大部分 Database Analyst job 不要 SAS, 不用统计.
It takes many people three to six month to pick up the skill and start
looking for the job.

了。大公司做几年工资并不低，但对presentation skill挺看重的，开会开的多，讲话
讲的多，多练练就会有提高。感觉此行当由middle-age white men dominate.

drive buses/subways, and avg pay for those jobs are 80K with good pension
plan and everything else!

这类工作是适合我这种胸无大志，但是又想有个工作能经济独立的懒人的。
感觉硬件真的要求不高，但是得有个契机跨入进来。就是有个一年半载的实习或者工作
经验吧。
如果啥也没有，好像真的大海捞针，没人里的感觉。
如果会sas，sql，excel用的也很好。那就根本没有什么其他要学习的了，就是
networking吧，找到机会就下手。

For most of jobs, you won't be able to present to VP level people in large
companies, but Data Analyst can. The Data Analyst could be very challenging,
as it may require a lot of communication skills, especially when you want
your ideas to be considered as strategies.

software like SAS, do not need you to do presentation.
You just do the job your manager asks you to do.
Your manager will do others.
Easy job, easy money, nice life style.

definitely not. Also it depends on what kind of data you analyze. Some Data
Analyst job can be very boring, if the job does not need advanced analytics
skills, and you don't need to present to the management. That's really old
style of Data Analyst.

the way you prepare the powerpoint and deliver the key points, which make
you a data "artist". You can tell the data stories to convince your audience
your findings are the right strategies for the company.
But anyway, work for a happy job, as it's very important aspect of your life

their brain to solve very complicated problems/issues.

are only limited number of software companies in USA.
Plus, brain will move slower as people getting older.
Avoid the high pressure software developer job even you are not old now.
