just minutes from University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth.
Job Description
We have an immediate opening for a part-time and possible convert to full-
time Research Associate in the Cell Biology field.
The primary role of this position includes cell culture, prepare and stock
media, maintenance of multiple cell lines, generating master cell banks,
analysis of protein expression by Western blot. This position may also
perform product development by utilizing established procedures for
recombinant protein expression in eukaryotic cells and other duties as
assigned.
Minimum Requirements
BS/MS in cell biology, molecular biology or related disciplines.
Proficiency in standard cell culture techniques is required.
Familiarity with western blot and cell differentiation is strongly preferred.
Organized, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
Good communication skills are essential.
Successful candidate will have a Bachelors or Master degree in Molecular
Biology, Cell Biology or equivalent with 0 to 5 years of experience in cell
biology and eukaryotic cell culture techniques with a Bachelors or 0 to 2
years with a Masters. Candidate must have experience with cell culture, cell
biology, and have good communication and teamwork skills. Also requires a
working knowledge of scientific principles and experience with sterile
techniques and analysis of protein expression by Western blot and cell
differentiation are a plus.
Local candidates only and relocation assistance is not available for this
position.
