I am working on 2 Product Development Engineer openings with an Illinois
medical device company. This International company is a major supplier of

Must haves:
" BSME
" 5+ yrs product development engineering with hands on design of
electromechanical devices
" Medical device industry experience
" FMEA and associated risk management skills
" Project management - stage gate process. Create plans, track and manage
resources for completion
" CAD experience (ProE strongly preferred)
" Curious, competent, high energy, takes ownership, deadline driven but not
at the expense of quality
" Broad thinker - able to focus on the end product/results not just their
piece of the project.
+ Knowledge of plastics
+ Small company experience - able to work without a complex or high level
support structure. Proven ability to manage through ambiguity.
Responsibilities:
" Working with small team of highly skilled and educated engineers
" Detailed design of electromechanical components, products and devices
" Develop design requirements for prototypes
" Analyze assembly designs, fits and tolerances
" Design of experiments and statistics
" Testing design and management
" Be the lead for partnerships with outside consultants
" Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
" Strategic thinker that can focus on the end result
" Project management - stage gate process. Create plans, track and manage
