事了。我就不能再拿从学校拿我学生的工资了。
是这么回事吗？
难道不应该从OPT开始有效的日期算起吗？ |

我要申请post。ISO 的人让我向研究生院申请completion letter。11月15号拿到信。
ISO的人看了信之后，说要把我I-20上的ending date 改成 11月15号。同时从这一天起
，我就不能再拿我的学生工资了。
感觉有点怪怪的。
不知道别的学校的ISO 怎么样，我快被我们学校的这个advisor逼疯了。

发帖数: 896 | 9 LZ你这个不是跟OPT有关，是你的letter of completion的问题
申请post-opt有两种一种是基于letter of completion一种是基于graduation，大多数
人都是基于graduation，那么就没有你这个问题。
letter of completion一旦生效就说明，你的学生状态已经结束，从16号开始你的
grace period就开始了。你要是12月毕业，现在让你申请letter of completion，你们学校iss真是太不厚道了！

Should I apply for a Letter of Completion from OGS?
In most cases, students should not apply for a Letter of Completion from OGS
, as it limits your time period to apply for and begin your OPT employment.
Regardless of your reasoning for requesting a Letter of Completion, this
action will affect your OPT.
What are the consequences to applying for a Letter of Completion?
Your I-20 program end date will be shortened to the date the Letter of
Completion was approved by OGS. You must stop working on campus once your
Letter of Completion is approved. Your 60-day grace period thus begins on
the day the Letter of Completion was approved. Your requested OPT start date
must be within 60 days after your Letter of Completion was approved. There
is a risk that you will not receive the full 12 months of OPT since USCIS
can take up to 3 months to process an OPT application. You are permitted to
remain in the U.S. while your OPT application is pending, even it is still
pending beyond the 60-day grace period following your Letter of Completion
date. For most students, obtaining a Letter of Completion is NOT a
preferable option, as it limits your time period to apply for and begin your
