status doesn't matter.
But if this work is in US, then whether your boss is US citizen doesn't
matter, you need USCIS work authorization. It's the US company's decision
whether to sponsor a work visa or not. Thsoe projects, if are company's
projects and contracts, you are authorized to work on them.
