My advisor forwarded me a job opportunity, which he got from another
professor A. From the email content, seems the hiring manager is very
familiar with professor A. I am sure if Professor A recommends me, it will
significantly increase the possibility of getting hired. And it is a good
match of my research background.
I am wondering if I should contact Professor A (I don't know him personally,
but he knows my advisor) and let him know one student from my advisor's
