l******x 发帖数: 163 | 1 I have two questions about the in-state tution policy in iowa.
(1) If I am TA/RA in ISU, can my wife pay in-state tution in UIowa?
I know that different universities have their own policy on this issue.
(2) If my wife applied in China and get admission to ISU, can she pay in-
state
tution? I know a lot F2 transfer to F1 and pay in-state tution, but I am
not sure what is the case if my wife ccome to ISU directly with F1 visa.
Any suggestions would be appreciated~
Thanks |

F1 is not treated as resident (you should have green card or citizenship and
live in Iowa).
In order to have in state tuition, you or your spouse should have TA/RA at
the same univ.
am
visa.

master有奖也要付1/2州内学费, Ph.D.后来取消了吧。

Graduate assistantships, the most common form of graduate student support,
are available in three categories: the research assistantship, the teaching
assistantship, or the administrative assistantship. A half-time graduate
assistantship (20 hours per week) permits the holder to enroll for a maximum
of 12 semester credits. Recipients of these assistantships are assessed
fees at full Iowa resident rates regardless of the num

Q2: Yes, your wife should be able to pay in-state tuition as far as I know.
You may call the Office of Registrar 515-294-4067 or 515-294-0762 to ask. |
