profile's calculation is still questionable/exaggerated. It's best to wait
a few more years till it stabilizes.
But I know with its IPO rumor, it is and will be pretty hot ... | p*********s 发帖数: 55 | 5 I just started both LendingClub and Prosper. the problem I see (just my
personal opinion)
1. They are definitely not risk free, and likely carry pretty high risk.
The current LC/Prosper gold rush mostly happened after 2007 market crash, so
the risk has never been quantified.
2. Good quality high risk notes are **rare**, if you have more than 10K fund
, you won't get enough high return notes, so you will be looking at 5% rate,
it may look pretty good on paper, but whether it worth the potential high
risk or not has never been tested.
3. Liquidity. Both sites offer 2ndary market to liquidate your notes, but in
the event of market crash, it's likely a fire sale and the loss can be huge
.
this site provides a lot information, and the author has been using his 15%+
portfolio to advertise the site/information. However his portfolio size is
very small at around 5k.
