Ponzi happens mostly among close circles;
Market Timing does not work;
Trying to beat the market by actively trading
Believing indexes create average returns(actually above average)
Believing owning the S&P 500 is enough
Settleing for buy and hold
Mistaking correlation for causation
Judging outcomes in a vacuum
Looking at the stats instead of direction of the stats(earning, unemployment)
Investing without context
Underestimating the impact of asset class selection on performance
Underestimating the impact of investor behavior

So he is against active trading/timing the market, but he also believes that
owning SP500 and buy-and-hold are not enough. What is he suggesting? I
guess a more diversified portfolio(including Russell 2000, sp400,
international etc.) and annual rebalance? |
