Just use 60% of your money to buy vti and the other 40% on BND. Do a
rebalance every year and forget about it.

The only acceptable way of using financial planner is a straight hourly fee
based model. You pay for his knowledge and that's it.
having said that, i think all Chinese coming to US should be smart enough to
manage on their own. Just need to spend some time to learn.

investor, needs to pay.
I personally would never use CFAs or planners. If I get 10M tomorrow, the
only person I would talk to would be a CPA.
Just because it worked out for you for a few years doesn't mean anything.
If I win lottery some day, I wouldn't jump up and down, telling everyone go
buy lottery ticket.
there are so much research out there showing CFAs, Planners, managers,
nobody can beat the market in the long run, nobody except Bernie.

he/she is good looking, has a good track record, has a good trading system
that you can understand and trust?
btw, who on this board did not survive in 2008-2009? Even S&P has almost

difference between your trader and Buffet's performance in longer term?
Paulson made a boat load of money in 2008-2009, does it mean he is so
much better than other fund managers according to your standard?
All I asked is if you think you find a good guy managing your money and
you are willing to share your experience, it would be better to share
your criteira seleting such traders.
