the current US gold holding accounts for about 20% of its money base
I dont care whether we go back to gold standard or not
it's a political decision rather than a market decision
I believe, either way, the market will value gold to a price that
it can support 100% money base, just as it did in 1980

old posts and see who has been promoting and buying gold all
the time since 2004.
What I don't agree with you is I don't think the USA will ever
go back to gold standard. Gold price can shoot up to $5000 or
even much higher but still gold standard won't come back,
unless we has a WW III and the USA breaks up into a few new
countries. Even people on this land use gold as their 'money'
in the distant future, the USA won't be here any longer at
that time.
Yes, gold is the ultimate money. But the ultimate money never
come into rule without a massive destructive war and a whole
new government standing on ruin in human history.

already, and I believe it will keep heading north despite the slump from
last Thursday. I sold a good potion in late August so that my investment
realized its value. When it gets lower, I'm going to invest more. Gold and
silver are shining forever, for thousands of years.
