m****u 发帖数: 229 | 2 I haven't done any research yet but if the investment time is over 3 years,
I would just go with
Vanguard Mid Cap Index VIMSX
and
Vanguard Small Cap Index NAESX
because they usually have super low expense ratio/fee(0.3% or lower). |
e******e 发帖数: 162 | 3 Fund Expenses
Management Fees: 0.77%
12b1 Expense: NA
Prospectus Gross Exp Ratio: 0.95%
最后的0.95% 是不是已经包括了前面的0.77%? |

m****u 发帖数: 229 | 5 When did you get ur data?
I meant the 0.77 and 0.95.
Based on my understanding(correct me if I am wrong), 0.77 is part of the 0.
95. So, this 0.95 includes 0.77.
I don't like the wording from your data at all. Maybe I am not smart enough
but it looks pretty confusing.
I like the data to be displayed in the following link and it makes
everything clear.

If these funds are all you can pick for your 401K/403b etc, |
e******e 发帖数: 162 | 6 I just got the data today from the link in my brokerage. I put them in this
form just for comparison purpose. And I believe there are other important
info not included. These are all the funds that available to choose for me,
not 401k though. But even my 401k account, the choices are not much
different from this list.
Looks like the top two have the best performances, not only short term but
also long term, except expense ratios are a little high.
enough

Where did you open your account? I am guessing the list of these funds is
from a crappy salesman's suggestion. I bet if you go with what this salesman
told u to pick, this salesman can make a big profit on the fees.

l**********t 发帖数: 5754 | 8 For active managed funds, you shall ask for relative performance (excess
return over benchmark, net of all fees), instead of the absolute returns.
Based on net of fee returns form yahoo finance, most of the Columiba stock
funds under-perform their respective benchmarks (except for Columbia Mid Cap
Growth CLSPX, and Columbia Small Cap Value II NSVAX which handing to uder-
performance). You would be paying more for less if you invest in these
mutual funds.

from the same source.
alternatively, search for EFTs for the corresponding benchmarks & download
their perf from yahoo finance.
