NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. credit card defaults rose in February to their
highest level in at least 20 years, with losses particularly severe at
American Express Co (AXP.N) and Citigroup (C.N) amid a deepening recession.
AmEx, the largest U.S. charge card operator by sales volume, said its net
charge-off rate -- debts companies believe they will never be able to
collect -- rose to 8.70 percent in February from 8.30 percent in January.

第二波海啸将由垃圾债券引发
宋鸿兵：在半年以前我们看到了这种危机，主要是集中在美国按揭抵押贷款市场。这块
市场的压力有多大，我们如果举个形象例子，大概是一个13万亿规模的这样一个市场。
但是我们现在所看到一个新的危机的爆发点，实际上是一个更大的，就是美国的地方债
券，美国的企业债、美国的金融债、美国的信用卡债和一系列的像消费类贷款、像学生
贷款、汽车贷款等等。这一块总的规模加在一起是25万亿，它是按揭抵押贷款市场的接
近两倍左右。
垃圾债券总额两倍于按揭贷款
宋鸿兵：那么在这个市场上所衍生出来的一系列衍生产品的结构，跟按揭抵押贷款是类
似的，规模是更大的。从这个角度来说，如果说半年以前由次贷问题所引发的整个按揭
贷款市场，及其衍生品出现重大危机的话，已经导致了整个全世界金融系统出现了重大
混乱。那么这一次发生在企业债和金融债这个领域中，出现了大规模违约，将集中发作
在垃圾债券这个市场。垃圾债变类似于企业债中间的次级债，那么它出现问题

Citi/BoA/Chase/Discover, it has credit risk. In the past, Amex card members
have good credit, opposite to CapitalOne. But this has been changed as they
aggressive issuing new credit cards in last few years...

on, every1 is subprime,hoho.

year why Clayton Home's borrowers has only a median of 644 credit score but
their delinquency rate was lower. Sound business practice is not as easy as
just looking up a single score.
But on the other hand, I don't know how many stupid borrowers are defaulting
on their credit cards first before they default on their non-recourse home
loan. Under Bush's new regulation, the banks could come after them even if
they file ba

stop paying mortgage first. I thought credit cards are reserved for
food & water...
