it is just fun to study the crazy crude market. check the chart about oil
backwardation ( backwardation means futures forward curve is above 1. i use
frontmonth crude price to divide average oil price of 2nd, 3rd and 4th month
to calculate forward curve).
Usually, you pay time premium for future oil delivery, like stock options,
but sometimes, short term supply disruption or shortage fear can cause
