2020年9月我和配偶一起收到RFE，要重新体检，但当时她在国内，美国疫情也很严重，
就耽搁了。抱着试试看的想法让她在国内的“国际旅行卫生保健中心”做了一个移民体
检，是美国驻华使馆指定单位，国内有四个城市可以做（北京上海广州福州）。但后来
广泛咨询了几个移民律师，也给USCIS打过电话，都说I-693不可替代，律师还建议我们
不要乱操作，可能会被取消资格，于是继续静默。
有个小插曲是改地址可以让USCIS重新出一张RFE notice，并按新notice的签发日期把
递交材料的deadline延期一下。缺点是不能反复横跳，两个月后我们又改回原地址，被
USCIS直接无视。
今年四月份RFE终于要到deadline了，抱着死马当活马医的心态提交了国内的体检报告
，并写了言辞恳切的cover letter申请延长deadline。结果奇迹般地直接通过了！4月
28号寄出材料，5月5号收到receipt，5月25号USCIS网站显示Approved，6月1号收到卡
。老婆大人儿童节快乐！
为答谢申请期间在本版收获的帮助，特此分享经验，并附cover letter做参考，祝大家

PS，国内的体检报告是装在密封信封中的，信封上写着的有效期只有两三个月（具体忘
了），我们提交时已经过期，但实际时间并未超过半年，所以USCIS没有追究。

I am an applicant for the U.S. Permanent Resident Card and am currently
under I-485 pending status. In November 2020, I received the “Request For
Evidence” letter, asking me to provide an updated medical examination
document. However, I was traveling in China at that time. Due to the limited
flights and travel restrictions under Covid-19 pandemic, I am still not
able to return to the US, although I am eager to come back and live together
with my husband. He is the primary applicant of our cases with approved
EB1A, and is currently working at (单位) as (职务). His contact information
is: (姓名地址电话).
Here, I am writing to request your kind permission to extend the submission
deadline of my medical examination. When the travel policy is not as
restricted as before, I will try my best to return to the U.S. as soon as
possible and complete my examination. In this package, I also attached a
medical report from “Guangzhou International Travel Healthcare Center”,
which is the designated medical exam office by the U.S. Consulate in China.
I understand the I-693 form by a U.S. civil surgeon is required for my
application, and it cannot be replaced by this document. But hopefully this
document may provide you a little information of my current health status,
since it includes almost all the items in the I-693 form.
The following documents are submitted for your kind review:
1. Copy of the “Request For Evidence” letter;
2. Copy of the Form I-485 receipt notice;
3. Original file of “Medical Report for US Panel Exam” sealed in an
envelope;
4. Copy of the applicant’s vaccination records in US;
5. Copy of the Passport;
6. Copy of the EAD/AP combo card;
7. Copy of the Driver’s license.
