我们联系的参议员似乎很有效果。从去年六月打指纹后，一直都没有消息。今年4月联
系参议员，一个星期后议员回信把RFE电子版发过来了，比移民局的信件还早到。今年
十月份再次联系参议员，11月1号议员回信说30天若没回音再联系。当天其实就批准了
，今天收到纸质通知才发现。

I am a resident in your district in XXX, and I am writing to request your
kind assistance in my case of Application to Register Permanent Residence or
to Adjust Status (I-485) with US Citizenship and Immigration Services (
USCIS).
My I-485 case was filed in May 2, 2016 to Nebraska Service Center (NSC) of
USCIS, and its status remained as “Fingerprint Fee Was Received” for
almost a year. On February 17, 2017, I inquired USCIS through an online
Service Request (Receipt #: XXX) because the case exceeded normal USCIS
processing time. Unfortunately, USCIS hasn’t responded to my inquiry in two
months, which necessitates additional measure beyond my capability.
Senator XXX, I am asking you for the following help:
1. Look into my case at USCIS NSC, and have the immigration officer confirm
the security check request has actually been sent to the proper agencies and
when;
2. Look into the corresponding agencies and have them to explain to you what
exactly bogged down my case;
3. Urge the corresponding agencies to expedite (or rather, not to further
delay) finishing my security checks;
4. Urge the corresponding agencies to expedite sending the security check
results back to the USCIS NSC;
5. Urge the immigration officer at USCIS NSC to expedite adjudicating my
case.

Dear Senator XXX:
I am a resident in your district in XXX. For the second time, I am writing
to request your kind assistance in our cases of Application to Register
Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status (I-485) with US Citizenship and
Immigration Services (USCIS).
After filing I-485 for a year, I contacted you in April 2017. Soon after
your intervention, both my wife XXX and I received the Request for Evidence
(RFE) from USCIS on April 28, 2017. Thank you very much. Unfortunately, our
cases are still pending after the responses to RFE were received by USCIS on
May 8, 2017. Senator XXX, I am asking your help again for a time-sensitive
issue.
Both XXX and I are faithful believers of American dreams, encouraged by
which XXX decided to pursue a bachelor degree in her late 30’s. After years
’ efforts, XXXgot into the prestigious University of XXX this Fall and
started with 12 credit hours as a fulltime student. Due to the pending
permanent residence, XXX is not qualified for most of student loans and
scholarships and we are paying the full tuition by ourselves, although we
are young family without much savings. Next month will be the deadline of
application for financial assistance for semester of Spring 2018, and XXX
will need the approved permanent residence to apply. I hate to see her
delaying the great opportunity with UXXX due to our financial limit.
We sincerely appreciated your help on USCIS for us last April. Senator XXX,
I am asking your help again to urge the immigration officer at USCIS
Nebraska Service Center to expedite adjudicating our cases, particularly XXX
