I140是请刘姥姥手下的Christina T. Le 办的，虽然准备过程很辛苦，但还是
挺顺利。个人一作19篇，总共42篇，citations ～620， review 19，一个杂志的
invited editor, 一个小杂志的 lead editor，申请时按Ph. D的 material science
and technology 来归类。值得一提的是PP。当初很纠结是同时pp，还是追加pp的问题
，因为开始惧怕同时pp被送到杀手手里。咨询刘律师，他说不存在什么杀手，分配处理
都是随机的。加上追加pp要额外收律师费100$，所以就选择同时pp。实践证明是对的，
省时省钱
。所以个人认为，无特殊杀手存在，如果case还算强，就大胆同时pp。
下面是time scale:

其中4/11 和12是周末，所以就两个工作日的时间，还是很快和顺利的。
I485， I765 和 I131是自己办的，当初有好几处不清楚，查了很多网上信息搞
清楚的。给大家分享有下面几点和一些其它的注意事项（如果有错的，请大家批评指正
）：
1. I-485 表上需要写A-number， 这个就是Approval Notice in the Beneficiary
box 上的 9-digit Alien Number. 有的网站上说不是这个number，是别的云云，个人
经过调查后认为是错误的。
2. I765：
What is eligibility category for my spouse?
(c) (9) or Spouse of an H-1B Nonimmigrant--(c)(26).
Answer：(c) (9) is correct。
3. 记得检查I485， I765 和 I131表中每个签字和date的地方，因为I485被拒有一
条就是“Case Was Rejected Because I Did Not Sign My Form”
4. 记得交纳正确费用，因为I485被拒的另外一条就是“Case Rejected Because I
Sent An Incorrect Fee”。申请I485， I765 和 I131 一起和单独申请I485是不一样
的。三表一切申请是$1,070，单独I485申请不知。另外支票一定记得签名和日期。
5. 入党问题：是共产党员的建议如实填写，写个statement 就可以。记得在
statement上面写上”Form I-485, Part 3 Processing Information Applicant: Part
3 C–
List your past membership… ;
and
Question 6 – Have you ever been a member of, or in any way affiliated with,
the Communist Party or any other totalitarian party?—Yes”.
我写的逻辑是这样的：迫于工作压力入的党-从没参加任何 党的活动-从出
国日期到现在已经自动退党超过5年。
6. Employment Verification letter 上请写清类似句子“This is to verify
that XX will continue to work in the field of materials science and
engineering and carry out the terms and conditions of the approved I-140
petition”.
7. G-1145: remember to clip it to the first page of your application。
8. 关于护照复印，官方网站写的很清楚，就是美国签证页。所以只有美国签证页应
该就可以，但为了保险起见，我扫描了护照所有页。
9. 打疫苗用的家庭医生打的其中几项，保险cover了些，省了大约200多美金。所以建
议大家尽量找家庭医生打疫苗，因为不申请移民也需要打其中的一些疫苗。有的家庭医
生愿意帮忙，file时不按immigrant处理。
下面是I485, I 765 和I131的材料清单 （包含J1 豁免的文件）：
Part 1 Form I-485, Application to Adjust Status

Birth Certificate;
Copy of passport page and all the pages of any stamps/visas/marks;
Form I-693, Medical Examination;
Form G-325A, Biographic Information;
Form I-797 Notice of Action, Approval notice for I140 immigrant petition for
adjustment of status;
Form I-94, both form and arrival-departure record;
Two DS2019 forms (related to exchange scholar status);
Form I-797 Notice of Action, Approval notice for I-612 to waive foreign
residence requirements of J1 visa;
W-2 forms for the previous two years;
Pay stubs of the previous three months;
Tax return during last two years;
Ph. D. diploma and degree evaluation;
Two Forms I-797A, Notice of Action, Approval notice for a nonimmigrant
worker (related to current temporary worker status);

Part 2 Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization
Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization with two (2) photos;
Passport biographical page;
Form I-94 copy, both form and arrival-departure record;
Birth Certificate;
Nonimmigrant visa and stamps;
Two DS2019 forms (related to exchange scholar status);
Form I-797, Approval notice for I612 to waive foreign residence requirements
of J1 visa;

都是随机分配的，同时pp送到杀手里面的概率并不一定比追加pp大。根据您的评论，我
重新修改了帖子。另外，这只是个人观点，不一定正确。
