请大家支招，不知这个推荐人是否可用，该如何回复为好？
I would help (and I would like to, because I see from your CV that you work
hard) but I am afraid that my level of familiarity with your research is
very low, as I am not a chemist. Because I am not a chemist, I cannot
evaluate the complexity of your work, so in my opinion my letter will not
add much to your package, because it would be very shallow. I suggest that
you ask your lawyer if such a letter could be useful- it would be very short
- basically just saying that I tested your compounds in certain experiments.
If so, I can surely provide it. I think you instead need a person in your
field commenting on the quality of your work as a whole- that will
strengthen your letter. | r**u

个人感觉，让他吹你在化学领域是比较牵强。但是可以他的信可以侧重点在你的那个样
品，说那个样品有多牛，除了原本的化学应用，在生物领域方面表现也是杠杠的。如果
他用了你的样品发了文章，那就更好了。其实个人感觉，生物和化学本来也是蛮接近的
学科了，很多搞生物的以前就是化学的。 | s**********g
