not picked up and wanna to apply for EB1A, but feel my case is quite weak.
Thinking about accumulating more citations and review experiences and apply
early or mid-next year. But still not sure how big the chance will be. Will
appreciate your candid evaluation. I try to give a very detailed background
and thanks for your patience to read through. Background is below.Thanks.
EDUCATION: PhD in Biology from a top US institute.
PUBLICATION:
Three first-author papers: 1 research article in a Nature family journal
with IF>10. The paper is featured with 1 invited Editorial (I am the 1st
author) in another journal with IF>6. Also, 1 Perspective in a journal with
IF=~3. These articles are just published, thus no citation yet but my
advisor has received quite some requests.
One 5th-author (totally 12 authors) paper in a Cell family journal with IF>
25. Google Scholar shows currently 54 citations.
One 5th-author (totally 8 authors) paper in a Nature family journal with IF>
20. Google Scholar shows currently 118 citations.
One 3rd-author manuscript in preparation
CONFERENCE:
One oral presentation at an international conference with many big figures
in the field. The abstract is published (only abstract part)
An invited seminar at a medical center
Poster presentations at a few conferences
MEDIA REPORT:
About 5 news sites/magazines such as Medical Daily, Popular Science, wrote
reports on my 1st-author research article and my name is mentioned.
Additional dozen or so websites such as Science Daily, Medical Express,
ScienceNewsline, health.am etc.also reported but just directly cited my
institute's press release for my publication.My name is mentioned.
REVIEW:
Started asking for review a few months, so far only reviewed 4 manuscripts,
all by repeated invitations from one editor from a main journal in the field
. Actively seek to get more review experiences.
AWARDS and MEMBERSHIP:
Don't think I have sth to claim. Two national scholarships during
undergraduate in China, but no significant awards in US.
REFERENCE:
Should be able to get 3~5 NAS/AAAS members/Department Chairs as independent
referrers and ~2 NAS/AAAS members as non-independent referrers |

and citations over the next half year or so, is there anything I could do to
improve my case? Thanks again
P.S. I used English because it's not really easy to input Chinese in my work

其实条件都很不错了，只需要再攒点review就行。
另外EB1A对媒体报道的要求是只提到你名字是不行的，是要关于你的媒体报道才行。你
其他条件不错，就不需要再交这个证据了。 |

对于媒体报道，你是说必须是对我个人的专访才算？可是对研究成果的报道，一般是围
绕研究发现为线索作报道，然后插入作者的comments，并且comments主要是我老板的，
然后我作为lead author在报道中提到。。这种报道不能算吗？有一个杂志的报道倒是
对研究的过程始末写的详细一些，所以写了不少我怎样做出这个研究项目的，这样的报
道能算吗? 谢谢。 |
