I have a few questions as follows:
(1) During 485 pending (I-140 approved), if I apply for EAD card, how long
it takes for me to finally get EAD card?
(2) When you have the EAD card at hand, if you have one month unemployed (
the H1B1 will also expire), is it still legal to say at USA?
(3) Normally the I485 should be approved sooner or later. Is it should be
OK to use EAD card instead of H1B1?

normally 3-many weeks. i got in 3 weeks.
you can stay usa legally as long as you get the receipt of i485.
it is ok if you have to.

---yes, you can work for any employer with your 485 EAD
