发帖数: 3016 | 1 今年1月PHD毕业，目前国家实验室做薄厚。由于方向实在太冷门，条件和版上各位相差
太远，准备申请NIW，目前在搜集材料。有几个问题想请教下。我的基本情况是
1. 7篇PAPER，5个英文一作，2个中文。Google Scholar 英文引用数是29（2/3他引）
。问题：申请NIW可以算中文PAPER么？自引他引需要明确分开么？
2. 媒体报道3次。问题：其中有2个报道是同样的内容，介绍我的一个PAPER研究成果，
被转载了一次。这样的话，我是否应该把这两个报道算成一篇？另外还有协会的
NEWLESSTER报道2次，这个是否应该算进去？
3. 在班上搜集了一些申请材料（主要是推荐信和PL模板）。请问如果请律师的话，和
自己DIY最主要的区别在哪？有推荐的律师么？

I think it is a technique issue whether to claim independent citation or
not. Since the citation number may be a little low, it is better not to
distinguish self/independent citation.
2. Of course, count everything in.For media reports, definitely need the
circulation amount, either from the media or from http://reportmysite.com/( what I used)
3.I guess good lawyers know the key words and key points, which enhance the
passing rate. But you still have to prepare a lot documents yourself. DIY
myself, can not help here.
