It depends on the company. You may ask for this original letter, or simply a
copy, as when you include it in your 485 application, you need only a copy
anyway.
Once your 140 is approved, you can put this approval notice in your 485
package to save the IOs some time to check your 140 status.
But actually even if EB1 140 is pending, you can submit your 485 with an 140
receipt notice, so it's fine.
If some company is so bad that they don't want to give out the 140 approval
notice copy, the applicant can use an 140 receipt notice to submit a 485 by
DIY. USCIS can check their database to know that this 140 is approved.
