August, 2012. She received Extreme Hardship-based J1 waiver, and also got
I-130 approved. However, her priority date is Feb 2011.
I am thinking the following option: Using Follow-to-Join because we
married before I got greencard. File I-824, and then let her go back to
China to get immigration visa.
Is this feasible?

Your marriage happened before you got your green card, then she could submit
485 any time, before or after your green card approval date. Her visa
number is already available.
Check out scmm's case. She wanted to use her OPT, so she submitted her 485
after her LD got his green card, and she got her green card now.
August, 2012. She received Extreme Hardship-based J1 waiver, and also got I-

Thank you for your great suggestion.
I submitted my wife's I-485 application on Feb-06-2012, and today I received
the receipt from USCIS with an USCIS Alien Number for my wife on it. I
think this means this I-485 is approved, right?
anyway, thank you for the great help!

approval date, it could take 3 to 6 months.
Your wife can also apply for EAD to work. Has she applied for that? EAD is
free. If she hasn't applied for it, she should do it now. She can attach a
copy of the 485 receipt in her EAD application. EAD may come in 2-3 months.
