This post is just for discussion.
Based on my limited two months web-surfing time on this board, I've noticed
that near the end of the month, there're many notices sent out for 485
approval, even over weekends, so probably the cases are already processed
during the months, but the notices are sent out automatically over the last
few days of each month. Is it so?
How about 140? Do you guys notice some trend in its approval time over the
course of a month? Is there a better time to submit an application so that
it can receive enough time to review rather than getting an RFE? Or what
else would you consider?

For 485, not sure until get the approval notice to see the actual approval
date.

I see. I am wondering whether even the notice printing is automated somehow,
so that the approval date is that printing date. 485 sounds to be less time
critical and they may have it batch-processed more than 140.
For 140 PP, IOs may have to print some notice before a specific day, so that
is individually processed.
Well, given the erratic pattern of USCIS, probably this discussion won't
help much. :-)
