Immunohistochemical analysis of Sca-1 and its significance in lung cancers
The purpose of the present study was to determine the expression of Sca-1,
the stem cell marker, among various lung cancers and evaluate their utility.
Immunohistochemistry was done for 151 surgically resected lung cancer
specimens or biopsies, including 76 cases of adenocarcinoma, 50 cases of
squamous cell carcinoma, 15 cases of small cell carcinoma, 6 cases of
adenosquamous cell carcinoma and 4 cases of large cell carcinoma. The
