I submitted 1-485 last Dec. and finger print was just done. My H1 visa will
be expired in this May and my curret employer sponsors to renew my H1 visa.
The question is should my child needs to apply H4 visa renew as well? (I-539
application )
I am asked to make out a check of $290.00 to The U.S. Department of Homeland
Security to go with my child I-539 application.

questions: is it legal to stay in the USA after 1-485 has been filed but the
visa is expired? does it revoke the I 485?

离境的话得有AP。当然，你工作，所以也得有EAD了。
