Oct 11, 2010, USPS delivered at Dallas Lockbox
Oct 20, 2010, 1:50am, text message and email alerts that cases are accepted
Oct 21, 2010, LUD
Nov 5, 2010, LUD
Nov 19, 2010, Service request-Absolutely useless
Dec 20, 2010, Service request-Absolutely useless
Jan 19, 2011, Service request-Absolutely useless
Jan 20, 2011, infopass-Absolutely useless
Jan 21, 2011, Tier 2 Immigration Officer said Fingerprinting was scheduled
on Feb 15. On the same day EAD was approved
Jan 24, Fingerprint notice received.
Jan 25, 2011, AM, Walk-in fingerprint; PM AP approved
Feb 9, 2011, I485 approval email received.
Our case is at the slow side, I believe. Just to share a bit of our
experience on getting the fingerprint notice. We waited more than 3 months
until we finally get the notice. Quite a record.
I made three service requests. They are absolutely useless, coz every time I
get a letter in the mail addressing the request and saying the fingerprint
will be scheduled. I also tried to contact senators/congressman. Two of the
three offices I contacted actually called me back and expressed the
willingness to follow on the case. Not sure how helpful they are though. I
went to a local office and did infopass. That's a big waste of my time, coz
they only read to me what I see on the USCIS website and nothing further.
Two websites which are helpful:

The first one gives u how to contact USCIS and some info on security
background/name check stuff.
The second one was mentioned by someone here before. To get to the second
tier immigration officer, instead of the customer officer, you have to lie a
little, e.g. you never receive the I-485 receipt notice, hence no receipt
number.
For those who are in the same boat like me, you have to act if you have not
got the fingerprint notice in 2 months. Try everything you can. Once you get
the fingerprint done, most likely you will get the case approved very soon.
2 weeks in my case.
