WASHINGTON D.C. Many see the “green card” as the ticket to life in the
United States . But it hasn’t been green for a long time (it’s white, and
for a time it was also colored pink) until now that the Department of
Homeland Security (DHS) will begin issuing a truly green “Green Card”.
The Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) is redesigning the
Permanent Resident Card – the innocuous green card – to incorporate new
security features aimed at preventing fraud.
