说得俗点就是外来人员户口卡，是美国移民局给外来人口发的准住证明。申请的时候可
以由户主来申请，申请下来之后还是要全家落户，所以得人人有张户口卡片。人手一个
，终身不变。
主申请人
通常来说，主申请人的A number会在你申请移民签证批准的时候给你。
职业申请中，PERM申请批准之后，在批准通知上就有你的A number，这个A number就是你的绿卡号码了，好听不好听的，这个号码就是你的了，你在随后的140申请和485有关的各种申请（485，131，765等等）中都要填这同一个号码。
申请免掉PERM的同学们（申请EB1a/b/c和EB2/NIW的直接申请140的同学们），在140的批准件上会给你分配一个A number。这个A number就是你的绿卡号码了，好听不好听的，这个号码就是你的了，你在随后的140申请和485有关的各种申请（485，131，765等等）中都要填这同一个号码。
在140批件出现的位置，第三行右手边，BENEFICIARY旁边给了你A 后面接9位数字。下面是你的名字。

I have NIW EB2 140 approved and now the EB1A 140 pending. However, I have
never filed 485 yet. I don't quite understand why I would need "Relink" if
my EB1A 140 is approved.
Can you please shed some light on this?

. I specifically stated this in the petition letter too.
Hopefully, it should be good enough.

发帖数: 855 | 8 估计你没有Relink的问题。等你的EB1a批准后，直接递485就好了。Relink的是已经早
交了485但由于EB2/3的排期，还在等绿卡的.不少人又递交了EB1的申请。等EB1的140
批准后就可以要求RelinkEB2/3的485 到新批的EB1140上。Relink一般省钱，省时间，
当然不一定省力。

NIW 140 was Approved with an A# after a month.
Eb1a 140 was filed with the A# from NIW 140 and approved with same A# after
two months.
Eb1a 485 was filed with the A# same as above, and got receipt with same A#
on it, and was approved after two months. |

On NIW140 approve notice, an A number was assigned. And I used the same A
number for EB2NIW based 485.
For EB1a 140, I filled in the same A number. 140 and 485 got approved on the
same day.

A#" on approval notice of I-140 does not count, neither the one on your OPT
EAD card, right? (at least, according to pjiang). |

You will be assigned an A number when your immigration petition is approved,
that is your 140 or 130 etc is approved.
