From his explaination, you will have a A number only after you filed 485.

在谈 Multi A# 的问题之前，我们首先要知道什么是 A#.
A# 是指 Alien Number，全称是 Alien Registration Number. 望文生义，这个侨民号
应该是与你申请移民相关的，事实上也是。
通常在填了 I-485 之后，你的 I-485 的 Receipt Notice 上，会出现这个号码。和
Social Security Number 一样，这个 Alien Registration Number 你只能有一个。
如果你还没有交过 I-485，你就没有 A#. 在填 I-485 时，A# 留空。
你的 I-140 上有 A#，但不一定是正确的 A#, 或不是最终的 A#. 不正确是说，I-140
上的 A# 可能是从你自填的 EAD 上的 A# 反馈回来的；不最终是说，即使 I-140 上的
A# 不是由 EAD 上反馈的，也可能和将来 I-485 上的不一样。
如果你将 I-140 上的 A# 填到了 I-485 表格上，并在 I-485 的收据上体现出来。这
时候，你的 A# 算是确定下来了。

请了NIW，140批准件就会生成一个A number。你申请485的时候就用这个A number, 这样你的EAD, AP也就是同样的A
number。后来你申请EB1a，记着在140申请的时候就要填入这个A number，这样IO就可以把你的case都联系起来了，
减少了许多relink的困扰。
当然要把OPT EAD和H1的A number区别对待，因为它们是非移民申请。140是移民申请。140批准件上的A number就
