will take you to mid-town in about 20 mins.
I live in Jersey City Heights, there is also bus and mini-bus a block away
to NYC 42st Bus terminal, it may take 20 mins.
my neighbor has a 2br condo for rent, if you have two people, it's also a
option.

But:

and dinning options.
