I am planning to buy a laptop with Windows OS and will install VMWare to run
Mac OS. I prefer ThinkPad T/W series (but I cannot invest too much on it,
or I may buy a mid-range spec ThinkPad and a Mac Mini)
What hardware affects VMWare performance the most?
Harddrive? RAM? CPU?
If it's RAM, how much is sufficient?
T450s has one 4GB RAM soldered and can take another up to 16GB (total 20GB).
Only 8GB will be dual channel
T550 can have 8GBx2 dual channel
W550 can have 32GB.
If it's CPU, what CPU benchmark should be it have at least? Clock speed?
Single thread rating? Overall rating? (I usually check cpubenchmark.net)

不过网上有破解，效果不好，速度慢，屏幕解析度不好调

up the hardware on the new laptop.
what is the minimum spec you suggest for this setup to run VMWare Mac OS
decently?

Since CPU and max RAM is determined by main board, I would like to pick a
model with capable CPU and max RAM support to start with.
What do you mean by this "至于CPU性能，虚拟机本身不会降低CPU性能。"?
I need to run VMWare and also some other software, possibly at the same time
. I need to do multitasking between host OS and guest OS without shutting
down guest OS.
Would i5-5200U is enough?

发帖数: 13752 | 9 对纯计算的程序，一般来说，在实际机器上运行是多少时间，在虚拟机时运行基本也是
同样的时间。如果有很多I/O的程序，就难说了，也要看处理器对虚拟机的支持。
Multitasking的话，要分享处理器，核多的处理器好。内存一定要大，对multitasking
来说，这比处理器还重要些。

发帖数: 5032 | 11 没法提高，需要官方写driver来支持，但是官方不支持win vm跑OS X。所以无解。
不过maverick在win里跑速度还凑合。

发帖数: 5032 | 12 别折腾了。我1650v2 6-core 3.5g，32gb ecc ram， enterprise ssd，速度照样不行。
缺的是vm里面的驱动和vm workstation之间的配合，不好搞。
