Only 32bit (4GB) physical address will be managed. PCI devices
will take some of them, most likely your graphic card. Then the
leftover will be mapped to memory. 3GB is reasonable space leftover
for RAM.
If you have a Linux live CD, you can boot your machine, and check
the BIOS reported memory map (search for e820 on dmesg). Everything
above 4GB won't be managed by 32bit windows.
Solution:
- install RAM disk driver to use the extra RAM.
- switch to 64bit windows.
- If still want 32bit O |
