My understanding is eye is more important. Cos you shoulder the gun under ur
dominantly eye. U want the ejected shells to clear ur face and head. Just
easier to eject right under right eye or left under left eye. Hand gun is
less of a problem. Not fun to have hot brass and smoke coming out of the
port and hitting u in the face.
I may well be wrong. Talk to ur gun shop or range staff
to see what they thing.
U can of course learn to shoot with ur strong arm weak eye. My wife is cross
dominant. Right hand left eye. She shoots with right hand. rifles with her
right weak eye using a red dot. She shoots pistol with her head turned a
little to use her left eye. She can not use iron sights on rifles and has a
hard time looking through a magnifying scope. So just a red dot on rifle
with both eyes open. Obviously her weak right eye can still overlay the dot
on e target with both her eyes open. Ur mileage may vary.
Unfortunately u may have to try a couple combo to find what’s best for
u.
In the process may waste money and time.
