I found Federal law seems did not prohibit F1 visa to own a gun.

Anyone has an idea on whether IL can prohibit F1 visa students to own a gun
if he or she has a valid hunting license?
One thing makes things more complex is that, I only have a hunting
apprentice license not a full hunting license. According to this law,
hunting apprentice license can be used as a hunting license. Is it OK to own
a gun with the hunting apprentice license? Thanks.
