I live in Santa Clara. I am writing to you to oppose the following gun
control bills:
SB47 - ban bullet button
SB53 - annual ammunition permit, ban online and mail order ammo purchase
SB374 - ban all semi-auto rifle, including rimfire semi auto like ruger 10/

SB396 - ban all mag > 10rd, including grandfathered large cap。
These bills will do almost nothing to stop gun crimes because existing laws
already do not allow criminals to get guns legally in the first place.
These bills will seriously infringe law abiding citizens’ right to obtain
firearms, to practice with ammos, and to conduct self-defense legally. It
is a violation to the second amendment too.
Criminals will welcome such bills, but as a law abiding citizen, I strongly
oppose these bills.

Senator/Assemblyman ,
SB47 and SB374 will make rifles with detachable magazines more dangerous by
eliminating the ability to remove the ammunition quickly.
Although detachable magazines make reloading a gun easier, they also make a
gun safer by being able to unload the source of the ammunition with the push
of a button. This is important because it’s actually quite common for
guns to malfunction. Sometimes the bullet gets stuck in the barrel. Other
times, two rounds try to enter the firing chamber at the same time.
Sometimes, the gun fails to cycle as expected. Before any troubleshooting
can begin, it is important to first empty the gun of all ammunition and that
process includes removing the magazine ASAP.
I have witnessed dangerous situations where people tried to fix a problem
with a fully loaded gun. Banning detachable magazines will only encourage
such behavior. Sadly, if a future mass shooter decided to change his mind
in the middle of his killing spree, he would be unable to make his weapon
safe because he would be unable to remove the magazine.
Mandating that the law abiding public be forced to use unsafe firearms will
backfire in terms of liability, donations, and votes. Such bad legislation
would only be highlighted when the next criminal uses a rifle with banned
features to kill a large number of innocents. And this is a very real
possibility given that criminals, by definition, ignore laws and it’s only
a matter of time before the next mass shooter appears.
The existing ban on detachable magazines for assault weapons has not been
shown to prevent a single crime or save a single life. Yet the proposed
bans on detachable magazines will cost innocent civilians a finger, an eye,
or worse. This is not the way to endear your constituents.
The solution is to fully legalize detachable magazines as in the other 49
states. The voting public will never be mad at being given a right back.
To show that you are tough on crime, write a law that infringes on criminals
, instead of the peaceable public. |

有色人种和各色吃福利人种所指的是不同的。
带别人打枪的效果是需要长时间才能体现的，但是却很难敌过媒体的宣传。
我曾经在学校做过调查表，被survey的人年龄在18～30岁的居多。西裔白人亚裔非裔的
都有。很有意思的是，至少一半人是不反抢的，这里面有不少人是支持拥枪的。其中包
括亚裔西裔非裔白人，所有族裔都有。还有少一部分人是无所谓，另外还有一部分是坚
决反枪。有意思的是从国内来的学生反枪的居多。当然，这个调查不能算什么，毕竟基
数太小了。不能扩大到整个州。
禁枪只不过是力薄肉的一个目的罢了。就算在枪的方面不被力薄肉忽悠，也会在别的方
面被忽悠。这一说就又会扯远了，就会扯到政治方面。简单的说，加州是深蓝的州，共
和党几乎很难翻盘的州。不明真相人士耳濡目染。。。自然也会受到忽悠。
