单，后来发现是high capacity mags。
发信去问网店能否换成10rd mags，网店说：
We don't offer 10 rd magazines for this gun, therefore per our Terms &
Conditions page, we remove all magazines with high capacity to CA. The
exception to this is if you have an FFL who has a High Cap Mag Permit and is
willing to pin the mag for you.
后来又说，他们也order了10rd mags，如果到了可以换到这把枪上，但就是不知道什么
时候到。
我下把枪的DROS在三八节之后才能做，所以我也不急，于是叫他们先把枪hold住，等
10rd mags来了一起寄过来。
但是现在一个月已经过去，三八节也天天逼近，还是没有一点消息。
于是我开始想，要不叫他们把枪跟high cap mags一起寄来，让FFL做mag pinning？
问了一个FFL，愿意pin the mags for me for $10 each，听起来not too bad
但本菜鸟从来没有做个这种事，所以想请教有经验的老大们：
这个pining是咋回事？是不是很简单？$10 each是否划算？是不是可以让FFL把high
cap mags拆了弄成repair kits给我然后我自己做pinning？这样做是否合法？最后，这
样作出的弹匣是否跟原装10 rd mags一样reliable（弹簧长度啥的是否不一样）？如果
不好用我宁愿再等等。

spring 大小不换，只加根 metal spacer inside of magazine to prevent follower
loading further than 10 rounds. Or drill a hole on the magazine and install
permanent pin to stop the follower.
I have two twenty rounds metal magazine and want to covert them to 5 rounds
for hunting. This is what I did with metal spacer. 我也不知道自己 DIY 合不
合法？

不带grandfather clause, 所有登记的10+枪弹匣都要pin mag. 他说我的stg-44mag已
经pin了，只能装十发。我看了下弹匣，改动不大。 |

enough pining.
如果是我的话，我希望permanent enough pinning. 就是将来搬家到外州，可以还原。

我觉得这真是个脑残的法案，只能用来限制守法的人，坏人把magazine很容易变回原来
装弹量。

You think the liberals do not know banning mags would not work?
Wrong. Of course they know - everybody knows.
This is called "infringing" - it is a strategy. They know taking the
firearms away from people will be too explosive - so they are doing it
little by little. Once you get used to the 10-round mag, they will reduce to
7 - once you get used to 7, they will limit it to 5.... then 3 then ...
then all semi-autos ... then all firearms ..then bows, then big knifes ... -
then purchasing kitchen knives with ID .... welcome back to our homeland -

发帖数: 1397 | 9 不知道怎么pin，能做到自己拿不下来？除非焊上？
我的Moss 500当初买的时候也是magazine给pin成3发，要自己把magazine里面一根竹棍
取出来 - 合法的。整个过程只要1分钟 - 还不需要工具。

If they are plastic mags you can epoxy the blocks in yourself easy.
If they are Metal mags use JB Weld steel embedded epoxy.
Someone can correct me if I am wrong but converting high cap mags to legal
mags in CA must be permanent.
Pinning the block in would be to easy to remove and would not meet the
standard.

做是你的事了。

gunsmith做吧。
