two. Thinking about buying my first handgun and have a lot of questions,
allow me start a few and really appreciate DAIXIA’s help:
1). Seems .22 is well recommended for beginner, is it true? Shall I get a .
22 first and learn for shooting and get a 9mm or .45ACP later?
2). Online gun price seems lot cheaper than the price in local gun store. Is
buy online recommended? Usually what is the cost for transfer? Do you guys
recommend buying online or from local dealer?
3). I’m in San Francisco Bay area, any gun store you guys can recommend?
4). Is below link a good deal for good ammo for .22 handgun? Where is the

5). I’m thinking about either SIG SUER MOSQUITO ($335 local) or Ruger
MarkIII Bull Barrel 5.5 Target ($395 local). Is either of them something
good to start with? Anything you guys would recommend that is approved in CA?
I think I already asked too much, thanks for reading and looking forward for
your feedback….oh btw, anyone from the Bay area…or I should ask if any (
Chinese) gun club/org around the Bay Area?

FFL transfer手枪的价钱是70-100（含DROS）之间。都算上后，
本地和网上价钱一般差不多。
自己看 《常用网页+做外国人生意的枪店名单（不断更新中）》
MOSQUITO比较挑子弹，ruger比较难拆。都不推荐。
9mm的话，看看glock/cz/springfield/Sig吧。

网店要收10% ~ 15%的restocking fee. 如果delay的话，本地的
FFL有时要收stocking fee. 走过一遍流程后，就容易多了。 |

网购相比本地买便宜不了太多

-I recommend 9mm/.40sw/.45ACP to begin with.
a .22 can and will help you learn the basics of firearm, but you DON'T have
to start that way. It's like preparing a DMV road test with a go-kart, which
is not the most straight forward way to learn driving.
But .22s are fun to shoot, by fun I mean you can dump 500 rounds down range
without having to mourn the loss cash.
2). Online gun price seems lot cheaper than the price in local gun store. Is
buy online recommended? Usually what is the cost for transfer? Do you guys
recommend buying online or from local dealer?
-Depends on your local FFL dealer (gun store and range can do that for you,
call them ahead of time just to be sure), could be $50, $75 or even more.
Plus your handgun safety test and DROS, you could spend well over $100 on
paperwork on your first gun.
I think you should first find a gun range and rent a few guns to see what
designs you're comfortable with. Sigs, USPs, 1911s...try them out then make
your decision.

another dump question, can i shot in my back yard with a suppressor if i
have over 30yards and make sure the bullet won't get out and hit something/
someone else? |

absolutely not.
suppressors are highly illegal in california. backyard shooting in CA will
result in your gun fearing liberal neighbors screaming on top of their lung
and SWAT will come kick your door in.
