Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is happydad, and I went to purchase a rifle from basspro local store last week. But I was told today I was rejected by DOJ because I don't have a green card yet, even though I tried to explain that I am in an AOS (Adjustment of Status) and have an Employment Authorization Card. My CA driver's license number is ********, which DOJ used to check my immigration status. I called the number 916-227-3752; case number was #**********.
I checked both California and Federal laws about the eligibilities, which in nowhere suggest that a green card is required. Here are the document links:

By Law I don't have to have a green card, as long as I have valid I-94 form and hunting licence to purchase a rifle.
I've passed the hunting safety class from basspro store, and bought a hunting licence from basspro store. Also many friends of mine in the same situation have bought rifles from other retail stores.
Please help me clarify this issue and confirm if I could purchase a rifle from basspro store without a green card but valid legal alien status (such as I-94), at your earliest convenience! I believe that the person who answered my call just didn't know the details of the law.
I have consulted with an attorney, who confirmed the legitimacy of my request. Please confirm my legal right in this matter.

to reject you. they must have made something wrong.
in your letter you need to state that you are allowed by the law. there are
no reasons to say your friends have bought guns. |

一次是H-1B延期，DOJ还是按照前一次的身份，主要是DOJ没有主动到NICS更新
还一次是绿卡拿到不够三个月，DOJ从NICS拿到身份不对 |
