到，美方要求我提供学校的Dean or registrar office 的证明，证明我能拿到学位的时
间。请问我到底应该找学校哪个部门开这个证明，学院院长可以吗？
另外，我要去的是一个美国国家研究所，职位有visiting fellow 和visiting
scientist之分。请问这个visiting fellow 是博士后职位吗？它和postdoctoral

As long as there is a signature, that should be fine. Your dept chair should
be OK.
Essentially they are the same, all living on soft money, but most of the
time, a postdoctoral fellow == postdoctoral associate position comes out
of a grant that the professor just obtained. The duty of this postdoc is
closely linked to this specific project. Term is usaually fixed, like 2
years, or 3 years.
