better inform your department but not required,as far as I now, no need to go
to Graduate school, but definately go to ISS now.
to be polite, yeah. especially you are RA and have boss. But if you think that
may cause some mess, re think about it.

at my time, as long as the two school term goes in a row (except summer term),
it is okay.
Just for document, 10 or 15 mins pending on the working efficiency of your
ISS. But you may think more about how to deal with your boss if you are a RA.
