in the final round, chris did pretty good job, just as he said when
interviewed. Look at most of his iron shots, definitely better than Tiger's.
However, maybe the whole chemestry in that course and pray from most of
attendence has mislead him.

a lot to get where he is now. In the earlier years, he even can not afford to
have his own caddie. His wife bagged for him to save money. For tiger, this
kind of difficulties have never happened and more importantly, he will always

cannot rely on the wedge to get a birde there.

you are kidding, right? i don't think you can find a single pro on the pga
tour who hits a 6 iron the same distance as you, even the shortest guy. those
guys might be short compared to tiger, but they are VERY VERY LONG compared to
any amatuers.

This is not ture either. A lot of amatuers hit very very long. Only the
short game or the consistancy let them down. In the latest golf
digest, tiger's coach said "at least there are one thousand persons have
the ball strike caliber as the pros.".

At least, I know I was so careful when watching the final round game. I paid
much attention to their
distance control.
Name three cases which could make you believe that amaturers could drive the
same distance as pros, if your point is that amatuers are not able to do that.
(1)My golf partner, Brian, used to be a high school tennis player, drives
around 280 yards.

Worthy of mentioning it, say, my pw-6, 5 distance could be as same as a pro,
but it doesn't mean it's the same thing for my driver/fairwoods.

When I was in Orlando, I can always find real grass driving range, but the
only choice for me is map range in NJ now.

yards mean a Par 4 to me, coz I can never hit the grean from tee.
BTW, good clubs really help with distance. When I played with the driver that
comes with the junk set I began with, I can barely reach 250. Then I replaced
it with a TM R580XD, the distance increases by 20-25 yards with more fair way
hit.

I think every player on the tour is talented. Otherwise they can't be pro.
My problem with Phil is that I always think his glamour is not genuine.
I actually do not know where it comes from. It is funny. My white colleagues
wish Phil to win because he is the best white American player on the tour.
Maybe that is it.
It is funny that Tiger once claimed he is an asian. :)

I always consider myself as a newbie of the fancy golf world. There must be
tons of things I don't know. However,since i've been playing basketball and
tennis for a long time, I think I clearly understand the difference between a
pro and an amatuer.
Say, when my friend, Pete, talked to the pro and said he wanted to compare his
woods with the pro's. I was quite shocked,too, at that moment. That pro
doesn't feel anything uncomfortable.
